KERA WOOTEN

Executive Director


Kera leads all aspects of operations at Westminster at Lake Ridge, including resident care, financial oversight, marketing, staff leadership, and regulatory compliance. She is committed to ensuring both a high quality of life for residents and the long-term financial health of the organization. As the central point of contact for residents, families, staff, and external partners, Kera plays a pivotal role in fostering a connected and thriving community.With more than 25 years of experience in aging services, Kera has held leadership roles in several life plan communities. Her dedication to serving active older adults has consistently led to exceptional outcomes in resident satisfaction and employee engagement. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in English and Communications from Delaware State University and has completed certifications through the Erickson Living Leadership Academy. She is pursuing her licensure as a skilled nursing administrator. Kera is deeply committed to volunteerism. Her past service includes roles on the Board of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northern Virginia, Chair of the Family and Consumer Sciences Advisory Board for Fairfax County Public Schools, and Board Member of the Westridge Civic Association. She currently contributes her time to several organizations, including Streetlight Community Outreach, PWC 100 Committee, the LeadingAge Legislative Task Force and Leaders of Color, Soroptimist International, and the Prince William Chamber of Commerce. Outside of her professional and civic commitments, Kera enjoys spending time with her daughter, Regan, and finds joy in hiking, reading, and practicing Muay Thai.

CRAIG TURNER

Independent Living Administrator


Craig works closely with residents and staff to ensure that Westminster at Lake Ridge remains a fun, vibrant, and smoothly operating community. He is dedicated to excellence in customer service and believes that diverse perspectives coming together is what truly drives success. Craig brings more than 26 years of experience in senior living communities to his role at WLR. Over the past two decades, he has provided senior-level leadership in community settings, consistently demonstrating a passion for building strong teams and fostering a welcoming, dynamic atmosphere for both residents and staff. Prior to joining WLR, he served as Director of Dining Services at a senior living community. Although he focused on dining, his work extended across departments, giving him a broad understanding of senior living operations. This cross-functional experience solidified his belief in the power of interdisciplinary collaboration to deliver exceptional service and create a wraparound care approach that benefits everyone in the community. Craig holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Management and a Master’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Hospitality and Tourism. Outside of work, Craig enjoys spending time with his wife of 21 years, Tara, and their two sons, Aidan and Ryan. A dedicated family man, Craig stays busy coaching his sons’ soccer teams, playing street hockey on weekends, and cheering on his favorite teams—the Dallas Cowboys and the Washington Capitals.

DAVID LANE

Director of Property Management


David Lane has worked in the DMV area for the past 25 years, including for government and private sector employers. His most recent one, prior to joining Westminster at Lake Ridge, was Boeing, in which he supported many diverse contracts over the past 15 years.

Throughout the years, Lane has enjoyed the opportunity to meet great people, learn from their experiences and meld them into his own experiences. He has had the opportunity to engage with many mentors over the years, in advanced areas of business and facilities management. Lane enjoys family time, helping people, fishing and hanging out with friends. With the support and direction from the residents and staff at Westminster at Lake Ridge, he hopes to help make a difference within the community.

DAN ARNOLD, CASP

Director of IT


Dan is responsible for all the computers, software, and networking for the staff at Westminster at Lake Ridge. He also ensures the IT department stays within budget as well as making necessary technical decisions. By quickly resolving problems, he helps to ensure other staff members are not delayed in completing their tasks due to technical difficulties. During more than 15 years of service in information technology at WLF, Dan has overseen the conversion of many operations to cloud-based technologies, which has saved money and improved efficiencies. He likes the environment at Westminster, and the staff and residents make the community a pleasurable place to work. When he is not working, you can find him playing sports; a few of his favorites include golf, softball, and pickleball. He also likes taking several cruises a year.

DAVID McLLVAINE

Chaplain


David supports residents in their spiritual growth—regardless of their faith tradition. He describes his role as more than a job, saying, “I am more than a Chaplain; I am someone who is willing to connect families with the appropriate supports and be there as a listening ear or shoulder to cry on in times of need.” David believes deeply in meeting people where they are and helping them navigate life’s everyday challenges with compassion and understanding. An ordained pastor and Board-Certified Chaplain, David earned his Master of Divinity with a specialization in Leadership and Administration from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He completed his chaplaincy residency at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, GA, and has been serving as a chaplain for more than 10 years. Chaplaincy is David’s second career. He previously worked in the landscape and irrigation industry for more than 30 years, earning a bachelor’s degree in horticulture from Texas Tech University. He was a licensed irrigator, Board-Certified Landscape Contractor, and owner of Green Concepts Landcare for a decade. In his spare time, David enjoys spending time with his five grandchildren. He and his wife Melissa love traveling, visiting historic sites, and spending time at the beach and in the mountains.

AARON AGYEMAN

Dining Director


Aaron brings more than a decade of experience in hospitality and senior living to elevate the dining experience. He leads with compassion, precision, and a commitment to excellence, creating meals that nourish both body and spirit. Aaron is a Certified Dementia Practitioner, enhancing his ability to provide thoughtful, person-centered culinary care. Born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, and proudly rooted in Ghana, West Africa, Aaron’s diverse background shapes his distinctive culinary perspective. He earned his degree in Culinary Science from Stratford University and has held leadership roles at Café du Parc in the Willard Intercontinental Hotel, Hilton Hotels, and several country clubs across Virginia and Maryland. He also served as Senior Dining Director at Charles E. Smith Life Communities, supporting over 1,000 residents. Aaron finds deep fulfillment in senior living, where he leads with empathy and values of integrity and respect. He is honored to bring his culinary leadership to Westminster and is passionate about fostering connection through food. BARBARA AHIABLE

Director of Nursing


Barbara comes to Westminster at Lake Ridge with more than 15 years of Skilled Nursing experience with the last seven as a Director of Nursing (DON) with Commonwealth Care of Roanoke (CCR) at Manassas Health and Rehabilitation. Prior to becoming a DON with CCR, Barbara worked as an Assistant Director of Nursing and a Unit Manager. Barbara also has experience working at the bedside in a skilled nursing environment as both a charge and floor nurse. Barbara holds a Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) degree from Global Health College in Alexandria, VA, and a diploma in Economics from the Institute of Management Studies (IMS) in Accra, Ghana. Barbara’s mission as a Director of Nursing is to provide peace of mind to those she encounters by maintaining a high standard of quality care for our residents and supporting our staff. She takes great pride in her work as a Nurse Leader. Barbara enjoys reading and cooking in her leisure time. Barbara is married with two children.

MICHELLE FERRY

Director of Sales


For more than 13 years, Michelle has guided new residents and their families through the journey of joining the community. Her responsibilities include managing the reservation process, cultivating waitlists, coordinating with internal departments, and building strong relationships with prospects. She plays an essential role in welcoming new residents and helping them feel confident and supported as they transition into their new home. Michelle makes a meaningful impact by creating a smooth and personalized experience for each incoming resident, while also supporting her team and promoting collaboration across departments. Her favorite part about working at Westminster at Lake Ridge is the shared commitment among staff and residents to foster a warm, engaging, and service-oriented environment. Michelle graduated from Binghamton University in Upstate New York with a degree in Political Science and went on to earn her Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law in Charlottesville. Before joining Westminster at Lake Ridge, she owned her own construction business, where she leveraged her legal and administrative expertise to support all departments. Michelle has also earned a certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP). In her free time, Michelle enjoys traveling to new places and spending time on the water with friends and family.

JUAN GONZALEZ

Director of Environmental Services


Juan has more than 30 years of experience in the housekeeping field. Before joining Westminster at Lake Ridge, he worked with Marriott, ManorCare, and Medical Facilities of America. As the Director of Environmental Services, Juan oversees all aspects of housekeeping for the community, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and staff. His extensive experience makes him a valuable team member, and his leadership ensures the highest quality of service for residents. In his free time, Juan enjoys listening to music and playing with his two grandchildren, Lucas and Dahlia.

TERRI RAGLAND

Director of Human Resources


Terri leads initiatives that strengthen communication, staff engagement, and professional development. Under her leadership, HR has implemented monthly leadership training, stay interviews, Town Hall meetings, and a partnership with the Krieder Committee to invest in staff growth. She also launched an ESL (English as a Second Language) program, offering one-on-one tutoring led by residents — an initiative that has significantly improved communication and morale across the community. Terri also created The Pulse, a monthly employee newsletter that shares policy updates, staff recognition, and community news to keep team members informed and connected. Terri has extensive experience in employee relations, benefits, HRIS, compliance, and organizational development. Earlier in her career, she spent over 20 years as an Executive Assistant/Analyst in an economic consulting firm. Before joining WLR, she served as Senior Human Resources Manager at Communicare Family of Companies, where she was named Human Resource Manager of the Year and provided strategic guidance across the Maryland region. Terri holds certifications in Human Resource Management and Accounting and is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management. Outside of work, she serves as a Minister at Faith City Central Ministries and enjoys spending time with her husband, two children, and two grandchildren.

AMY HEWES, MT-BC

Director of Memory Support and Programming


Amy oversees the Ingleside Engaged social day program and Memory Support Assisted Living, provides dementia training, and supports residents and their families navigating cognitive change. Amy has more than 10 years of experience in senior living and home care. Her college job as a server in a senior living community ignited the spark to pursue a career working with older adults, especially those affected by Alzheimer’s disease/dementia and she has worked at several communities in life enrichment and music therapy roles. Before joining WLR, Amy spent six years as the coordinator of the memory health day program at a community in Springfield, working directly with participants and their families along with managing the administrative side of the program. Amy has two Bachelor’s degrees in music and sociology from George Mason University, and she graduated from Shenandoah University’s certification program in music therapy. She is a board-certified music therapist and a certified dementia care trainer with the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners. Amy is married with two young boys, and her hobbies include jogging, hiking, and performing music. She has performed as principal trombonist for the Piedmont Symphony and as an Andrews Sisters-style vocalist with the Silver Tones Swing Band, among other groups. At WLR, Amy enjoys visiting residents across the continuum of care each week with her guitar, singing songs that bring joy, spark memories, and encourage connection.

ADAMARIA PALMA

Executive Assistant


Born in Washington, DC, Adamaria Palma moved to Woodbridge after living in South Florida. Adamaria holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.S.) in Technology Management, combining technical expertise with leadership skills to drive efficiency and innovation in the workplace. She brings over 15 years of experience as an administrative professional and half a decade of property management, with a strong background in operations, organization, and team coordination. Beyond work, Adamaria is passionate about personal growth, wellness, and finding balance between career, family, and well-being.

MICHELLE FERRY

CAILIN KHAN

Sales Counselor


Cailin guides prospective residents and their families through the decision-making process with care, compassion, and insight. She is passionate about helping individuals feel confident, informed, and supported as they transition into their new home. A proud Lake Ridge native, Cailin has been a dedicated team member at Westminster since 2013. She began her journey in the resident services department as the Training and Data Supervisor, enhancing operational efficiency and team development. She later transitioned into the role of Marketing and Sales Coordinator, supporting outreach and growth strategies before stepping into her current role. Cailin and her husband are raising their two sons in the community she’s always called home. Outside of work, she enjoys spending quality time with her family and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.

DEBBIE KROGH

Sales and Marketing Coordinator


Debbie plays a key role in creating a seamless and welcoming experience for prospective residents at Westminster at Lake Ridge. She helps plan and coordinate events that showcase the community, manages social media to share resident stories and updates, refreshes marketing materials to reflect the community’s vibrant lifestyle, and guides new residents through the final steps of the move-in process with warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail. Debbie has lived in Prince William County for most of her life. Early in her career, Debbie worked as a systems and software engineer on a team developing submarine sonar training systems. Before joining Westminster at Lake Ridge, she provided remote technical, administrative, communications, and marketing support to small businesses. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Virginia and a Master of Science in Computer Science from Virginia Tech. Debbie enjoys the variety in her role at WLR and the opportunity to interact with both prospective and current residents. She has two young adult daughters and is an avid sports fan, especially of college basketball and tennis.
