KENYA BRYANT

Executive Director


Kenya works closely with staff, residents, and families to ensure it is a thriving, engaging, and inclusive community for all members. Kenya believes the organization’s values inspire action through a commitment to excellence, compassion, and strategic vision and that “we are better together,” and practices those beliefs in her leadership. Kenya possesses a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems and Business Administration. She began her career in technology, later embracing her passion and appreciation of mission-focused work. She is a graduate of the Virginia, Maryland, and DC LeadingAge Leadership Academy, and is currently entering her second year as a coach for the LeadingAge Academy. Additionally, she is a certified trainer for Dementia Friendly Virginia, train the trainer for Action Pact, Inc. Resident Centered Care and a certified Dementia Practitioner. She is completing an administrator in training program to obtain her nursing home administrator license. She recently became a member of the Leaders of Color & Allies Network Advisory Board. Kenya came to Ingleside at King Farm after 11 years of service as the Social Service Manager, Associate Director, and then Interim Executive Director at The View at Alexandria (formerly known as Hermitage Northern Virginia). Kenya and her family currently reside in Olney, Maryland.

KEVILIN PRAH-GOBA, MPA, HSM, CRT

Independent Living Administrator


Kevilin oversees day-to-day and financial operations of the Resident Services Department. She supervises CARF accreditation compliance, budget, strategic planning, and the development of compassionate, high-quality care programs. Kevilin works closely with the Executive Director and other senior leaders to implement strategic initiatives, enhance resident satisfaction, and drive continuous process improvement. She also serves as the Interim Executive Director in the absence of the Executive Director, ensuring continuity of leadership and operational excellence. Kevilin brings more than two decades of experience in critical care, home healthcare, and business development across the Maryland and Washington, D.C. area. She began her healthcare career as a respiratory care practitioner at Washington Hospital Center and has since held progressive leadership roles, guiding multidisciplinary teams in Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRCs) and Assisted Living settings. Kevilin holds a Master of Public Administration with a concentration in International Affairs and Human Security, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Health Systems Management, both from the University of Baltimore. She also earned an Associate of Science in Allied Health in Respiratory Care from the University of the District of Columbia. Originally from Ghana, West Africa, Kevilin relocated to the United States at the age of 13 and grew up in Bethesda, Maryland. Her diverse background and global perspective inform her approach to leadership and resident-centered care. Outside of work, Kevilin enjoys traveling, exploring international cuisines, and spending quality time with her family and close friends.

AJ OLADAPO, LNHA, RD/LDN, MSHCA, MBA

Community Director of Health Care Services


Since June 2022, AJ has been responsible for the day-to-day and financial operations of the Healthcare Center. Her scope includes Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living, Memory Support Assisted Living, and the Wellness Clinic. In this role, she oversees regulatory compliance, budget and census management, strategic planning, and the development of compassionate, high-quality care programs. AJ collaborates with the Executive Director and the Senior Leadership Team to ensure the smooth operation of all community services. AJ makes an impact in her role by supporting residents and team members with compassion, advocating for their needs, and fostering strong relationships to create a supportive living and working environment that benefits the entire community. AJ is an accomplished healthcare leader with more than 15 years of experience spanning acute care hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and senior living communities. She holds a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Health Care Administration from the University of Maryland University College, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from the University of Maryland, College Park. AJ began her career as a registered dietitian in the acute care setting, later moving into skilled nursing where she completed an Administrator in Training program. She went on to serve for more than a decade as a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator, leading facilities ranging from 90 to 130 beds and overseeing interdisciplinary teams of more than 160 employees. AJ believes in situational leadership, adapting her approach to meet the unique needs of her team and the community she serves. In addition to her administrative leadership, she has more than five years of experience as a Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist. AJ is a resident of Montgomery County, Maryland, and is a proud mother of an energetic son and a spirited daughter. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and taking memorable vacations together.

ABDO KARMOUCH

Director of Plant Operations


Aplays a vital role in ensuring the safety and functionality of the community through his leadership of the plant operations department. He provides essential resources, programs, and opportunities that enhance the quality of life for residents and staff. Abdo began his career at Ingleside’s sister community, Westminster at Lake Ridge, in 2000, starting on the dining team and progressing through various departments before overseeing plant operations. He brings extensive experience in HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical work, and renovations, and is a certified professional maintenance manager. Born and raised in Lebanon, Abdo is a proud father of a son serving in the U.S. Navy and two young daughters. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling with his children, spending time outdoors, and indulging his passion for cars and watch collecting.

SOPHY BRAUNS

Director of Sales


Sophy helps future residents and their families navigate the transition to retirement living with compassion, clarity, and confidence. She is dedicated to educating and supporting individuals through what can be an emotional and complex decision-making process. Sophy brings more than a decade of experience in senior living, including seven years at another Life Plan Community before joining Ingleside in 2016. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Communications from Salisbury University and studied abroad at the University of Nicosia in Cyprus. Outside of work, Sophy enjoys spending time with her husband, their two daughters, and their goldendoodle. She’s an avid runner and hiker and especially enjoys live music and summer festivals.

ANDREA HOPKINS

Director of Human Resources


Andrea oversees the human resources functions for the staff at Ingleside at King Farm, having moved from HR assistant to HR generalist. Andrea grew up in Rockville, Maryland, and received her degree in political science from the University of North Carolina–Greensboro. She previously worked in sales as an account executive for a local Herman Miller furniture dealership before finding her love of human resources and choosing to make it her second career. She earned her SHRM-CP certification in 2016. Andrea enjoys spending time with her husband, twin daughters and dog and traveling to other countries.

TEDDY DEMESSIE

General Manager for Dining Services


Teddy supervises all aspects of the dining program across levels of care. He is passionate about delivering exceptional service, fostering a strong team culture, and setting the gold standard in senior living dining. His proudest achievement is stabilizing the department with industry-leading retention, allowing for continuous growth and excellence in resident experience. Teddy found his calling in senior living early, beginning his career at just 14 years old with Erickson Senior Living. What began as a summer job quickly evolved into a decade of service, culminating in the management of a large dining operation with over 100 team members. To broaden his leadership experience, Teddy joined Potbelly Corporation, a national fast-casual restaurant brand, where he advanced from General Manager to District Manager, overseeing multiple locations across Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia. Teddy later returned to senior living with Brightview Senior Living, where he spent four years as Director of Dining Services. There, he built a strong, resident-centered dining program and developed meaningful relationships within the community. He then rejoined Erickson at Ashby Ponds as General Manager of Continuing Care and Independent Living, leading a team of over 160 employees. Teddy holds a bachelor's degree in International Studies with a focus on International Development from American University in Washington, DC.

CHRISTINE BAIR

Director of Dining Services


Christine oversees the daily operations of each dining venue on campus. She partners with resident committees to gather feedback and continuously improve services, while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations across all venues. Christine enjoys partnering with different departments to support community programs and events. Christine holds a degree in dietetic technology from Northern Virginia Community College and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Maryland Global Campus. She spent 13 years as a kitchen manager and dietetic technician at the John L. Gildner Regional Institute for Children and Adolescents in Rockville before transitioning into senior living.Her leadership experience includes director roles at HCR ManorCare in Chevy Chase and Golden Living Center in Westminster, Maryland. Christine joined Ingleside at King Farm, in March of 2009 as a clinical nutrition manager, was promoted to assistant director of dining, and then was appointed to director of dining services. She values the daily connection with residents and staff and embraces the challenges and rewards that come with her role.

ROSLYN SELLMAN

Chaplain


Roslyn leads a multidisciplinary team in delivering comprehensive spiritual support across the continuum of care. She is instrumental in accrediting Ingleside communities as Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) Learning Institutions, fostering the next generation of chaplains through rigorous training, supervision, and mentorship. Her leadership ensures that spiritual care remains a core pillar of person-centered healthcare. She is a distinguished theological scholar, clinician, and spiritual care leader whose work bridges academic innovation and compassionate ministry. She earned her Doctor of Ministry from Lancaster Theological Seminary, where she introduced the groundbreaking clinical concept of "Recessive Grief"—a framework that explores the intentional erosion of supportive structures in the grieving process. To operationalize this theory, she developed the Recessive Grief Tool (RGT), a pioneering instrument designed to help individuals and clinicians dismantle internalized dehumanization and facilitate holistic grief recovery. She also holds a Master of Divinity from Christian Theological Seminary and a graduate certification in Life Coaching from Grand Canyon University. As a Board-Certified Chaplain and Pastoral Counselor accredited by the College of Supervision and Psychotherapy, she specializes in trauma-informed spiritual care, grief counseling, and the integration of faith-based resilience strategies. An ordained elder in the African Methodist Episcopal Church, Roslyn brings a deep commitment to justice, healing, and community empowerment. Her ministry and scholarship continue to shape the evolving landscape of pastoral care, particularly in contexts of grief, aging, and systemic trauma.

LEILA NASAR

Sales Counselor


Leila Nasar works with prospective residents and their families as they navigate the transition to senior living. She takes pride in building meaningful relationships and guiding individuals through the decision-making process, ensuring they feel informed, confident, and cared for every step of the way. Leila grew up in Montgomery County and spent several years living in Los Angeles, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Antioch University. She began her career in medical software sales before discovering her passion for serving older adults. Leila first transitioned into the senior care field as a Business Development Manager, providing in-home care services and managing two Board and Care facilities. She later expanded her impact by joining a senior referral resource organization, helping families explore care options with compassion and expertise. Since joining the Ingleside family, Leila has become an active member of the Welcoming Committee and the All In Committee, and is pursuing further education in healthcare administration. What she finds most rewarding is knowing she’s making a difference in people’s lives and contributing to their overall well-being. When she’s not working, Leila loves spending quality time with her close-knit family—including her two children, her parents, siblings, nieces and nephews—and her beloved dog, Rocky. She also enjoys concerts, festivals, outdoor adventures, comedy, the fine arts, and musical theater.

STACIE SHAPERO

Sales Counselor


Stacie grew up in Montgomery County and graduated from Towson State University with a degree in Communications. She spent the beginning of her career in advertising sales and found her passion for serving seniors when her mother had to be moved into Assisted Living and then into Memory Care. Outside of working, she enjoys reading, time with her family and trying new things.

KRISTEN ROWE

Sales and Marketing Coordinator


Kristen supports the Sales and Marketing teams, helping ensure that both current and future residents have an exceptional experience. She enjoys engaging with residents and contributing to a welcoming, vibrant community environment. Kristen was born and raised in Montgomery County, Maryland. She graduated from Goucher College with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology and earned a Master of Library Science from the University of Maryland. Before joining the Ingleside family, she worked in sales for a board game company and in events for an independent bookstore. Outside of work, Kristen loves taking weekend road trips, reading, trying new recipes, going to concerts, discovering new area restaurants, and tabletop gaming with friends.
