Senior Leadership


Executive Director

Michelle F. Kraus is a senior executive with over 22 years of experience in long-term care. Most recently, she served as vice president of operations for Vero Health Management, overseeing four long-term care facilities in Massachusetts and Georgia. The majority of her leadership and operations experiences have derived from her 18-year tenure as senior administrator at Arcola Health and Rehabilitation Center in Silver Spring, Maryland. She consistently achieved operational excellence in areas of quality assurance performance improvement, CMS five-star quality ratings, Joint Commission accreditations, annual federal/state regulatory survey results, financial profitability, fiscal activity, employee stability and customer satisfaction.

Kraus has a proven ability to formulate performance-based business and strategic decisions and utilize her analytical talents to yield compelling results. Her ability to motivate and lead others stems from a passion to educate, counsel and empower individuals professionally. She believes in valuing the integrity and dignity of others while triumphing in the respectful delivery of person-centered quality of service.

A graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park, with a Master of Health Services Administration from George Washington University, she spent the duration of her academic career as an active member of the Alpha Lambda Delta Honors Society. She has held an active NHA license since 1997 and maintains her certification as a preceptor to mentor and coach administrators who are in training.

Kraus is a recipient of the 2008 Administrator of the Year Award from the Health Facilities Association of Maryland. She led Arcola Health and Rehabilitation Center in achieving the 2012 American Health Care Association Bronze Award-Commitment to Quality. In 2009, she was appointed by the governor to the Maryland Board of Examiners of Nursing Home Administrators. In 2016, she was selected to act as the board chairperson.

Kraus is a longtime resident of Montgomery County, where she resides with her husband and family in the Lakelands/Kentlands community. Her younger son is a freshman at Quince Orchard High School, and her oldest son is currently a freshman in the Scholars program at the Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland.


Independent Living Administrator

Kate Kavitski has had the privilege of serving senior living communities for over a decade. Her background includes a degree in psychology and theater from Ithaca College and a master’s degree in drama therapy from New York University. Professionally, she began in the life enrichment field, where she grew as a registered drama therapist and a certified dementia practitioner. Her experience with seniors ranges; she has served as a creative arts therapist to residents residing in memory care and skilled nursing communities, veterans coping with PTSD and those at the end of life. She has assisted in the development and strengthening of culture change programs, providing trainings, education and ongoing hands-on assistance to engage all staff and residents in person-centered living.

Kavitski is honored to serve as Ingleside at King Farm’s independent living administrator. A resident of King Farm, Ingleside is her second home, and the residents there, her second family.


Community Director of Health Care Services

Cody Christian has had the privilege of serving Ingleside at King Farm since 2015 as the fitness manager before completing his Administrator in Training program and receiving his nursing home administrator license in October of 2020. His background includes a degree in public health education and promotion from the University of Minnesota Duluth.

Christian works from a holistic point of view, including physical, emotional, social, environmental, spiritual, occupational and intellectual wellness. He is a certified dementia practitioner and senior fitness specialist and is Lean Six Sigma trained.

In his free time, he enjoys running and playing volleyball. He is honored to continue his professional career as Ingleside King Farm’s health care administrator.


Director of Plant Operations

Abdo Karmouch started his career at our sister community, Westminster at Lake Ridge, in 2000, beginning with the dining team, working through the different departments and overseeing the plant operations department. Along with his 16 years of experience in working with HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical and renovations, he is also a certified professional maintenance manager. Born and raised in Lebanon, Karmouch has one son serving in the United States Navy, as well as two young daughters. When he is not at Ingleside at King Farm, he enjoys travelling with his children and spending time outdoors with them. He also has a passion for cars and collecting watches.


Director of Community Engagement

Debbie Loube is a native Washingtonian. She grew up in Montgomery County, graduated from Winston Churchill High School and got her degree in political science from George Washington University. After 20 years in the dry-cleaning industry, she and her husband sold their businesses, and Loube found a new career. She started at Ingleside at King Farm in 2009 as the lead concierge and then was promoted to volunteer coordinator and concierge manager. She recently joined the senior leadership team as the manager of community engagement, which is a part of the resident services team.


Executive Assistant

Bryan Bennett was born and raised in the Montgomery County area. He received his degree in visual communications/marketing at Salisbury University. With three years' experience in the health care industry, Bennett comes to us eager and ready to perform. Prior to starting his journey with Ingleside, he was the human resources manager for a home health care agency called Senior Helpers. During his time there, he cultivated a deep love for retirement communities and their residents. In his free time, Bennett loves to continue working on his photography, graphic design and caring for his Teacup Yorkshire Terrier.


Director of Sales

Sophy graduated from Salisbury University with a bachelor’s degree in marketing and communications. She also studied overseas at the University of Nicosia in Cyprus. Before Sophy joined the marketing team at Ingleside at King Farm, she worked in sales at Life Plan Communities for seven years, and continues to enjoy working with seniors to help them make important life decisions. Outside of her professional career, she enjoys live music and attending music festivals through the summer months. Sophy also enjoys running and hiking. She has run in quite a few different races, including a full marathon and many half marathons.


Director of Human Resources

Andrea Hopkins grew up in Rockville, Maryland. She received her degree in political science from the University of North Carolina–Greensboro. She previously worked in sales as an account executive for a local Herman Miller furniture dealership before finding her love of human resources and choosing to make it her second career. She earned her SHRM-CP certification in 2016.

While at Ingleside at King Farm, she has moved from HR assistant to HR generalist and currently holds the position of human resources manager, where she oversees the human resources functions for the staff at Ingleside at King Farm.

Hopkins enjoys spending time with her husband, twin daughters and dog and traveling to other countries.


Director of Dining Services

Christine Bair graduated from Northern Virginia Community College with a degree in dietetic technology and then University of Maryland Global Campus, with a degree in business administration. For 13 years, she worked as a kitchen manager and dietetic technician at the John L. Gildner Regional Institute for Children and Adolescents in Rockville before making a change to senior living.

Bair has worked as a director at HCR ManorCare in Chevy Chase and Golden Living Center in Westminster, Maryland. She started her career at Ingleside at King Farm as a clinical nutrition manager, was promoted to assistant director of dining and currently holds the position of director of dining services.

She loves the interaction with the residents and staff at Ingleside at King Farm, and she enjoys the everyday challenges of her job.



Anne Ellestad most recently served as the director of pastoral care & counseling at a local retirement community where she worked for the past 10 years. Prior to that, she was a chaplain for Montgomery Hospice. Ellestad graduated from Yale Divinity School and is a board-certified chaplain. As interim chaplain of Ingleside at King Farm, she is available to all members and staff for spiritual support, leadership in weekly Vespers worship and simply caring when called.

She and her husband, Chris, live in Damascus with their three boys, two cats and 11 chickens.


Director of Memory Support Services and Programming

Maureen holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Baylor University. She has worked with people with dementia and their families for about 30 years in various capacities, including care settings, professional training, and working for the Alzheimer’s Association. Most recently, Maureen opened a new memory support neighborhood at a Sunrise Assisted Living in Virginia and served that community for over 3 and a half years. As a Certified Validation Group Practitioner and a Certified Dementia Practitioner/Trainer, she loves training and coaching the team to provide quality care to those with dementia. Spending time with Ingleside at King Farm residents is the highlight of her day! Maureen lives in Virginia with her husband and they have 3 daughters. One is an Air Force Office, another is an elementary teacher and the 3rd is still in college. In her spare time, you are likely to find Maureen at one of Virginia’s many wineries.

Director of Sales

Sales Counselor

Jan is an Indiana native and mother of five grown children. She comes to the Ingleside organization with over 25 years of professional experience serving people where they need it most. Her early career was focused in banking and finance with many years supporting the mortgage and home construction markets. Her passion for helping people evolved when she joined the staff of United Way in her hometown in Indiana. Following her husband’s career, they recently moved to Maryland. Prior to joining Ingleside, Jan worked as a senior move manager supporting clients throughout the entire move process from planning, organizing, downsizing, and preparing their home to sell, to moving into their new community. A retired marathon runner, in her spare time, Jan enjoys tennis, golf, and visiting her family as often as time permits.


Sales Support Specialist

Alex comes to Ingleside at King Farm from Harford County, Maryland. He received both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County in Management of Aging Services. He began his career with Ingleside by previously working with Ingleside at Rock Creek as the Sales and Marketing Coordinator and is excited to step into his new role at Ingleside at King Farm.


Sales and Marketing Coordinator

Mandi is a lifelong resident of Montgomery County. She graduated from Lee University in Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science in telecommunications, and has an extensive background in multimedia and news production. Mandi likes to stay on top of the latest technology and social media trends. She loves to learn and experience new things. Before coming to Ingleside at King Farm, Mandi was the training and volunteer coordinator at Montgomery Community Media. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and volunteering with Operation Christmas Child. Mandi currently lives in Gaithersburg with her husband and two cats, Binkey and Tyler.


Director of Healthcare Sales for Ingleside

Kiersten Parsons has worked in senior living for the past 11 years –four years of which have been with Ingleside. Most recently, Kiersten served as the Independent Living Administrator for Ingleside at Rock Creek. Kiersten started her career in Long Term Care nursing, then pursued further education in human nutrition, working as a clinical dietitian for seniors in all levels of care. Kiersten is committed to excellence in senior living services and is passionate about educating and equipping older adults to lead healthy, wellness-filled lives. As a clinician and healthcare services professional, Kiersten brings her joy for engaged living and her skillset in healthcare services to the Ingleside Sales team, where she focuses on supporting the growth of the Assisted Living and Memory Support Assisted Living neighborhoods at each community.
