Rockville, Md. – Ingleside, a premier not-for-profit provider of comprehensive older adult services in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, and its three communities: Ingleside at Rock Creek, Washington, DC, Westminster at Lake Ridge, Lake Ridge, Va, and Ingleside at King Farm, Rockville, MD, announced today it has been named one of the 2026 Fortune ‘Best Small and Medium Workplaces in Aging Services: Senior Housing and Care’. Compiled by Fortune Magazine and the Great Place to Work Institute, the list honors aging services organizations which have built an outstanding workplace culture.
“Our team members show up every day with skill, heart, and genuine care for the people we serve,” said Traci Alley, MSM, PHR, SHRM-CP, Ingleside Chief Human Resources and Compliance Officer. “This honor belongs to them, and it reflects Ingleside’s continued commitment to investing in the people who make our communities what they are.”

Over the last year, the non-profit has supported 94 employees’ education to further career development.
“When our team members feel recognized, supported, and valued, our residents feel it too,” said Lynn O’Connor, Ingleside’s President & CEO. “Every day across our communities, and the entire Ingleside family, we see employees living Ingleside’s ARISE values, which forms our culture. This is demonstrated by employees going above and beyond for one another and for the people we serve. Being recognized by Fortune again affirms that a strong workplace culture and excellent care, programs, and services are aligned and go hand in hand.”
In addition to professional development, Ingleside is deeply committed to fostering a work- and living space where everyone feels accepted, displayed through the Platinum SAGECare Credential the organization holds. This credential – received after a rigorous assessment of policies, practices, and staff training to create an inclusive and welcoming space for all residents, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity – highlights Ingleside’s unwavering commitment to providing a welcoming and affirming environment for LGBTQ+ older adults and staff.
