VIRTUAL EVENT
Please join Ingleside for an interactive, virtual program for social workers, certified care managers, nurses, and CDPs.* Countless ethical dilemmas arise when dealing with patients at end stage of Alzheimer’s disease. What are the best practices when families are pursuing curative care when palliative care is called for? What happens when the patient does not have advance directives? How do you best communicate with the patient when speech and understanding are limited? This interactive and thought-provoking program will examine the gray areas of multidisciplinary healthcare ethics as they relate to death, dying and grief in working with a memory-impaired patient.
*Approved for 3 ethics credits for social workers through ASWB, Certified Care Managers through NACCM, nurses through CA Board of Nursing, and CDPs through NCCDP.
