Suzanne Scheer, J.D., CLTC® is a financial advisor specializing in long-term care insurance. She attended Emory University and George Mason University School of Law. Suzanne practiced family law in Northern Virginia then took a long career break to raise her son and oversee her parents’ care during their long illnesses. Her parents passed away five weeks apart in 2010. The impact of being a caregiver was profound, notably the stress of managing finances, logistics and advocacy, along with the isolation and loss of identity. Suzanne became a financial advisor in 2016, and the focus of her practice is life, disability and long-term care insurance. Her experience with her late parents fuels her passion for helping people plan for long-term care. Having seen the ripple effect created by the need for care, Suzanne strives to educate as many people as possible about the importance of having a plan for care and if possible, a way to pay for it as well.
