WASHINGTON D.C., – Ingleside, a premier, charitable not-for-profit provider of comprehensive older adult services in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, is pleased to announce that Ingleside at Rock Creek’s Director of Memory Support Services and Programming Marianna Blagburn, MA, CDP has received the 2022 LeadingAge DC Excellence in Care and Service Award. The award is presented in recognition of remarkable individuals who have demonstrated exceptional proficiency in the commitment to community residents and the delivery of quality services.
Blagburn was nominated for this award in recognition of her dedication and leadership at Ingleside at Rock Creek’s memory support assisted living (MSAL) neighborhoods where she has developed new programming centered around historical events, poetry and prose, the performing arts, and stories connected to residents’ experiences and life stories.

Blagburn’s efforts have already proven to be remarkably successful, leading to a considerable expansion in the size of the program itself, and prompting the opening of the second Ingleside at Rock Creek MSAL neighborhood.
