ROCKVILLE, Md. – Ingleside President and CEO Lynn O’Connor, MSA, LNHA, CASP, CMDCP, has been selected as one of Maryland’s 2022 Most Admired CEOs by The Daily Record. Most Admired CEOs honors talented business CEOs, higher education leaders and nonprofit executive directors throughout Maryland whose leadership and vision are admired by those around them.
O’Connor has built up over 40 years of aging services leadership experience, first as an administrator-in-training at a Maryland nursing home and hospice, and later being appointed by Governor Parris N. Glendening to the Maryland Assisted Living Task Force, charged with creating Maryland’s first assisted living legislation and regulations. O’Connor currently serves as chair of the Board of Directors for LeadingAge DC and Presbyterian Association of Homes and Services for the Aging.
“Lynn is passionate and dedicated to the work of Ingleside and embodies our core values of accountability, respect, integrity, stewardship, and excellence,” said Ingleside Chief Operating Officer Christine L. Podles. “Lynn’s distinguished accomplishments along with her ability to lead Ingleside forward with strength and compassion are why she is so deserving of this recognition.”
A panel of judges selects these winners based on professional accomplishments, community service and the letters of reference submitted by co-workers, board members, and community leaders showing vision and leadership of these CEOs. Winners will be honored on November 3, 2022.
“The 2022 Most Admired CEOs are leading the way in unprecedented times and are developing a culture of innovation resulting in continued growth. In addition, they mentor the next generation. These CEOs are leaders we all want to emulate,” said Suzanne Fischer-Huettner, senior group publisher of The Daily Record. “Being a CEO today is a tremendously challenging job, and we at The Daily Record congratulate this year’s honorees for all their accomplishments.”
O’Connor has a bachelor’s in health care management from St. Joseph’s University, a Master of Science in health care administration from Central Michigan University, and Long-term Care Certification from the University of Maryland. She is a Maryland-licensed nursing home administrator, a certified aging services professional and a certified Montessori dementia care professional.
