Rockville, MD – Ingleside at King Farm, a premier not-for-profit Life Plan Community, is pleased to announce its Director of Memory Support and Programming, Maureen Charlton, is the recipient of a 2024 Memory Care Innovation Award. Charlton, a dementia care specialist with over 25 years of experience in compassionate person-centered care, is a member of the inaugural class of awardees, granted by WTWH Media Healthcare.
“Maureen has been instrumental in the coordination of individualized programs for residents in Ingleside at King Farm’s Memory Support Assisted Living and participants in the Ingleside Engaged Social Day Program at Ingleside at King Farm,” said Ingleside at King Farm Executive Director Kenya Bryant. “She is fully committed to Ingleside’s whole-person approach to memory care and our philosophy that individuals living with cognitive change should feel empowered and be fully engaged.”
Charlton’s award recognizes her contributions to advancing memory care in the Senior Housing & Senior Living category. Her insights and contributions to memory care at Ingleside will be featured in an upcoming interview with Senior Housing News (SHN).
“It’s an honor to be recognized for my work at Ingleside serving the members of the memory care community, and as a career-long advocate for individuals and families facing Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia, I deeply value this reward,” commented Charlton.
The inaugural Memory Care Innovation Awards recognizes individuals across the care continuum who are passionate leaders redefining the future of aging in America. Awardees were selected based on their innovations and commitment to delivering high-quality cognitive care, boosting health outcomes for those living with memory-related disorders, and supporting the people who care for them. All winners will be featured in upcoming WTWH Media Healthcare publications and are invited to attend WTWH Media Healthcare’s BRAIN Conference in Chicago in May.
“This inaugural class of Memory Care Innovation Award winners have clearly shown an exceptional commitment to enhancing the lives of those living with memory-related disorders,” stated George Yedinak, Chief Revenue Officer of WTWH Media Healthcare. “Individually, they have each displayed a remarkable dedication to ensuring the well-being and safety of the memory care residents, patients, and families they serve. It will be exciting to see how the future of cognitive care delivery will continue to evolve with talent like this.”
