Lake Ridge, Va. (October 13, 2025) – Westminster at Lake Ridge (WLR), a not-for-profit Life Plan Community in Northern Virginia, is pleased to announce its Life Enrichment Manager, Otmar Donald, is the recipient of a 2025 Memory Care Innovation Award. Donald, a Senior Housing Certified Activity Consultant who has led compassionate person-centered care at the community for four years, is a member of this year’s class of awardees, granted by WTWH Media Healthcare.
“Otmar has been instrumental in his role of developing personalized programs and partnerships that benefit the residents in Westminster at Lake Ridge’s Assisted Living and Nursing Neighborhoods,” said Westminster at Lake Ridge’s Executive Director Kera Wooten. “This award is a reflection of his dedication to Ingleside’s comprehensive approach to memory care, which ensures that individuals experiencing cognitive changes feel empowered, valued, and actively engaged.”
Otmar’s award recognizes his contributions to advancing memory care in the Senior Housing & Senior Living category. His insights and contributions to memory care residents at WLR will be featured in an upcoming interview with Senior Housing News (SHN).
“It is an honor to receive this accolade for my contributions at Westminster at Lake Ridge; serving the members of the community is both a privilege and passion,” Donald shared. “As someone who has always strived for excellence in the service of residents, especially those living with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia, I deeply appreciate the recognition.”
The inaugural Memory Care Innovation Awards recognizes passionate leaders that aim to reshape the future of aging in America. Awardees were selected based upon their innovations and commitment to delivering high-quality cognitive care, boosting health outcomes for those living with memory-related disorders, and supporting the people who care for them.
